Why Use Rhythm for 1:1 Meetings
Using My Rhythm, you know what you should be working on and what your growth goals are. Thanks to goal statuses and Comments, you and your leader are already aligned on how things are going week to week.
Having a 1:1 with your leader gives you the opportunity to go even deeper. Instead of just giving status updates on projects, use this time to reflect on your future aspirations, examine patterns, and seek coaching to develop yourself professionally.
With My Rhythm, 1:1s are incredibly easy to set up—and the Best Practice agenda guides you through a meaningful and productive conversation.
How to Use 1:1 Meetings in My Rhythm
-
At the top right of your screen, select the Meetings icon . From the Meetings screen, tap the Add New icon .
- Select the person you want to hold your 1:1 meeting with. Most often, this will be your direct supervisor.
- Set the date, start time, and end time.
-
If you’d like, you can specify a physical location (like “Boardroom A”) or add a meeting link.
-
You can then Save the meeting, or you can click the caret to open Additional Details. This is where you can add more attendees if anyone else will be participating in your performance conversation.
-
Under Agenda, you will see that the default is Rhythm Best Practice. We recommend starting with this agenda to see how it feels for you. If you and your supervisor decide to use a Custom Template in the future, you have the option to select from a drop-down menu.
- Once you are finished editing your 1:1 meeting’s details, select Save.
- When it comes time for your meeting, navigate back to the Meetings screen and click the title of your 1:1. Select the Agenda tab to walk through the meeting item by item. You can tap New in the top right corner of the agenda to add a new item.
- You can leave Comments and capture follow-up Tasks during the meeting. You can also add and reference Attachments.
- When you're finished, click the Completed checkbox.
