CEO Brian Helwig set a lofty BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) for MSP360: Build the #1 Managed Service Provider on the planet. 

To achieve this, MSP360 had to address their alignment issues. Back in 2019, Brian described not having “gauges for the engine”. His team was not on the same page when it came to their goals and metrics; they were addressing problems too late, or missing the signs of impending failures altogether.

Brian and his team could instantly flag potential issues using the Red-Yellow-Green methodology to status their goals on a forecast. “As CEO, I can now look at problems and figure out why they are happening,” he shared. “If we launch a project and I don't see any red flags, I probably don't have good enough visibility.”

Alongside their result metrics, they began tracking critical leading indicator metrics. “If I build something and go to market and don’t see any changes in the [financial] leads, this is a big red flag,” Brian said.
